Documentation / Acting on the data

Links, actions and groups

Resources for students, the marksheet tick columns, and intervention groups.

Data is only useful if something happens next. Two tools turn a weak score into something a student does.

Links and actions

Each tracker has one library, shared by every class on it, under Links and actions in the Library menu. An item is one of two kinds:

  • a link to read or watch, such as a revision video on writing to argue;
  • an action to do, such as “Redo Q4 using the feedback sheet”.

Items can be switched on and off, so last term’s resources don’t clutter this term. Each switched-on item becomes a tick column on the marksheet, beside the marks, so assigning it to the students who dropped marks on that question takes a few clicks.

Assigned items appear on the student’s mock and progress reports as a short to-do list, on their profile, and in the family portal.

Intervention groups

A group is a named set of students on a tracker, such as “Q4 reteach” or “Grade 4 push”. Make one from Make a group on This week, or select students on the marksheet and choose Add to group.

The marksheet can then be filtered to one group, so you can enter and check marks for just the students you intervened with, and each student’s profile lists the groups they are in. Filtering the dashboards by group is planned.
